We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our rapidly growing software company located in the vibrant heart of Copenhagen.

As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic vision and driving operational excellence throughout our organization. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a talented team and steer the success of our cutting-edge software products.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic vision, goals, and initiatives.
  • Oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all departments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department heads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to enhance productivity and quality throughout the company.
  • Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the company’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the technology team to align IT strategies with business objectives and ensure the efficient delivery of software products.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities and potential risks.
  • You will also be doing hands-on tasks as technical project management and ensuring client deliveries of high quality.
  • You will have one line manager referring directly to you, but also direct management of 7 employees where 4 are placed in Serbia.
  • You will join a team with operational responsibilities, which means taking an active part in maintenance tasks.
  • Fluent in English.

Your qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering, natural science, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a senior management role, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity within a software company.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating teams.
  • Solid business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with the capability to align operational initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving operational efficiency and implementing process improvements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project management experience and experience in delivering technical solutions to clients.
  • Experienced in cloud computing like Azure or AWS
  • You are motivated by teamwork; you have a pragmatic approach and a can-do attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
